SNMP Traps

NetBeez uses standard SNMP MIB that most trap collect tools already have included. No special MIBs are required to parse NetBeez' SNMP Traps. The current implementation of SNMP includes the following traps:

Agent unreachable event
self.oidLinkDown = "1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0";

Example of SNMP trap:

iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 = Timeticks: (217072) 0:36:10.72 iso.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0 = OID: iso.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0 iso.3.6.1.4.1.2000.3 = STRING: "Agent <AGENT_NAME> is currently unreachable." iso.3.6.1.4.1.2000.4 = ""

Example of the event on the NetBeez dashboard:

Agent reachable event
self.oidLinkUp = "1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.1";

Example of SNMP trap:

iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 = Timeticks: (2313347) 6:25:33.47   iso.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0 = OID: iso.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.1  iso.3.6.1.4.1.2000.3 = STRING: "Agent<AGENT_NAME> is now reachable."  iso.3.6.1.4.1.2000.4 = ""

Example of the event on the NetBeez dashboard:

PING test failed
self.pingTestFailed = "1.3.6.1.2.1.80.0.2";

Example of SNMP trap:

iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 = Timeticks: (361116) 1:00:11.16 iso.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0 = OID: iso.3.6.1.2.1.80.0.2 iso.3.6.1.4.1.2000.3 = STRING: "<AGENT_NAME>" iso.3.6.1.4.1.2000.4 = STRING: "<TARGET_NAME>"

Example of the event on the NetBeez dashboard:

DNS test failed
self.dnsTestFailed = "1.3.6.1.2.1.80.0.3";

Example of SNMP trap:

iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 = Timeticks: (377542) 1:02:55.42 iso.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0 = OID: iso.3.6.1.2.1.80.0.3 iso.3.6.1.4.1.2000.3 = STRING: "<AGENT_NAME>" iso.3.6.1.4.1.2000.4 = STRING: "<TARGET_NAME>"

Example of the event on the NetBeez dashboard:

HTTP test failed
self.httpTestFailed = "1.3.6.1.2.1.80.0.4";

Example of SNMP trap:

iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 = Timeticks: (388041) 1:04:40.41 iso.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0 = OID: iso.3.6.1.2.1.80.0.4 iso.3.6.1.4.1.2000.3 = STRING: "<AGENT_NAME>" iso.3.6.1.4.1.2000.4 = STRING: "http://<TARGET_NAME>"
